Instructions to Authors

Authors submitting their work to CSMA-2027 for consideration in the special issue of Northeast Journal of Complex Systems (NEJCS) must carefully follow the guidelines below:

1. Template Requirement
   • Manuscripts must strictly follow the official journal template.
   • Submissions not adhering to the template will be returned without review.
2. Originality and Plagiarism Policy
   • The paper must demonstrate originality and must not exceed 10% similarity as per standard plagiarism detection tools.
   • Content generated by AI tools should not exceed 10% of the manuscript.
3. Relevance to Complex Systems Science
   • The research work must be directly related to complex systems science.
   • Submissions outside the scope or with weak relevance will be desk rejected.
   • As the special issue will be published in the Transactions of the Complex Systems Society (ToCSS) (formerly NEJCS), alignment with the scope is a mandatory criterion for acceptance.
4. Submission Process
   • Only after ensuring compliance with the above requirements should authors upload their paper to the CMT system.
   • Non-compliant submissions will not be considered for review.
